Vintage Musical Bird Cage Wind Up Animated Music BoxThis is old (1920's, 1930's, 1940's? ) and it still works! When the music plays the two sweet birds go up and down on seesaw like perches. The cage is made of some type of silver colroed metal. The center of the cage has a deep red paper floor which shows some wear. The perches are wooden. The birds aer missing some feathers (perhaps it's molting season). The cage si 9 tall including the top circular hanging hook.
It is about 6 1/2 across at the widest point. The whole thing should be sitting on three pegs, but one is missing.
It still sits quite evenly and the missing peg does not affect the playing of the music or the up and down motion of the birds. I think you could put a small machine scrwe in the missing place. You wind it up on the bottom. There is also a lever switch that stops the music so that you don't have to lte it run down if you are done listening. I don't know the tune. It sounds like a lullaby. This does show overall wear, but would still be nice for your collection. Myabe some type of polish could make the metal shine.
